Doubtfully, there is something as important as the business marketing strategies which determine the success or failure of a business to such large extent. This is the company or firm which has achieved most success in promoting their product than all other companies in the field. The second type is the so called Challenger which is considered to be a company which is near to become a leader but has not yet. As a good example we could take Coca-Cola and Pepsi. We can say that Coca-Cola is the leader on the market and Pepsi is the challenger. The third kind of business strategy is called Follower and the last one- Nicher. The nicher is considered to be the most profitable strategy. However, very few companies pick this strategy and most of them choose to be Followers.

-Another criterion is the level of product development and the success it has achieved on the market. There are three types of strategies: Pioneers (the innovators), Close followers and Late followers.

-There are also growth strategies which are extremely important for the business we run. Actually, we are asking ourselves “How should my business grow and develop” when we choose our growth strategy. There are four basic strategies we can choose among:

-Horizontal integration

-Vertical integration

-Intensification

-Diversification

Those are not the only four growth strategies in existence but they are definitely the most used ones by the companies.

-There is also a very large group of business strategies called marketing warfare strategies. The number of these strategies is uncountable but most used are listed below.

-Offensive warfare strategies- the market leaders and struggling competitors are often the attacked ones. The attackers are usually Close and Late followers.

-Defensive warfare strategies- they are used so as the risk of attacks to be decreased. These strategies are used by all kind of companies as they all need to strengthen their positions on the market.

-Flanking warfare strategies- they are used in areas where there is less importance to the competitor.
